There is strict control over driving in the official national and parks and game reserves, with off roading and night driving prohibited but this does not  prevent spetacular sightings as the day drives are very  productive.


The  private concession areas outside the parks and reserves provide opportunities for offroad driving and night drives although both activities are done in moderation. The highlights of game viewing in Botswana is a high number of predators in many areas; the ability to view animals from up close and pristine wilderness areas that can be enjoyed by using open vehicles for better viewing experience.



Go on a sunset or morning cruise along the Chobe River or Okavango Delta and witness the aboundant wildlife on the banks, including large herds of Elephants coming down for a drink and a wallow. Other common sites are crocodiles and hippos basking in the sun, antelope, zebras. If you are a birding enthusiast, this is a great chance to spot a number of stunning birds including African darters, skimmers (threatened species) fish eagles, kingfishers and other waders and water birds. Listen for the unmistakable call of the African fish eagles. You will go on a specially adapted boat that take tours through the unique islands and channels that provide such a haven for the birds and wildlife. The boat captain will impart his knowledge of this remarkable environment and the people that inhabit its shores. The river cruise is a must to do activities when visiting Botswana.

Day trips to Moremi Game Reserve

We collect you early in the morning from your hotel/lodge in Maun then drive to Moremi Game Reserve situated on the edge on the Okavango Delta. Moremi is famous for its beauty and diversity of wildlife which includes the grasslands, flat plains, forests and winding water channels. Lions and elephants are frequently seen here. This area is also known for leopards, wild dogs and cheetah, as well as many different antelope species including red lechwe.


Mokoro day trips into Okavango Delta

The mokoro is ideally suited as transport in the delta as in can move quietly through shallow water, being pushed by the poler, along the narrow channels or cutting through the long grasses, giving you access to the vegetation, birdlife and wildlife along the banks.
